Gov AbdulRazaq Celebrates Punch Newspapers at 50

Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the Punch Newspapers on its 50th anniversary, calling it one of the best newspaper brands in Africa.

The Governor joins the entire country to felicitate the management and staff of the Punch newspapers on the anniversary, which he says is a celebration of excellence, hard work, tenacity of purpose, and consistent commitment to ethical journalism.

The Governor urges the Punch to keep the flag flying amidst renewed commitment to national unity, peace and security through robust and ethical media practices.

Recalling its roles in Nigeria’s nation building efforts, Governor AbdulRazaq commends the Punch newspaper for being a reliable partner in the country’s pursuit of better life for citizenry and promotion of democratic values, such as free press, human rights, responsible citizenship, and accountable government.
