BUA Foods Expands With Deal To Build 4 Wheat Milling Factories

BUA Foods Plc has signed a deal with IMAS, a Turkish milling equipment company, to build four new state-of-the-art flour milling factories in Nigeria!

The strategic partnership that would boost BUA foods’ production capacity by 3,200 tonnes per day per day – translating to 2.5 million Metrics tonnes per annum – is, according to information, aimed at addressing food challenges and unemployment in Nigeria.

The Chairman of BUA Food Plc, Abdul Samad Rabiu who signed the agreement on behalf of the leading food manufacturing company confirmed the deal to be an arrangement that would further enhance the company’s share of the Nigerian flour market.

“This partnership with IMAS is a testament to our dedication to improving food security in Nigeria. These new factories will significantly boost our capacity to continue to produce high-quality flour products while helping to create additional job opportunities across the country.”, the billionaire businessman disclosed.

He went further: “This investment is a step towards our target of increasing our share of the Nigerian flour market. The addition of four mills will enable us to produce high-quality flour thereby offering us the flexibility to address various potential flour needs.”

The Vice President of IMAS, Mustafa Ozdemir, in his remark said, “We at IMAS are happy to again contribute to BUA Foods expansion drive aimed at ensuring that more people in Africa have access to affordable and healthy food.”
