Mutual Benefits Assurance boss and gubernatorial aspirant Akin Ogunbiyi is making a calculated move over Osun state chapter of the People’s Democratic party, investigation conducted by highstreet.ng has revealed.

He wants to take over the structure of the opposition party in the state, a political source confided in highstreet.ng.

Akin Ogunbiyi lost the People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial ticket to Ademola Adeleke during the party primary that preceded 2018 governorship election in Osun state.

And the reason behind the insurance top shot’s move is simple, he still has his eyes on gubernatorial ticket of the PDP.

According to checks he believes having the control of the opposition party structure in the state ahead of time will ultimately do the magic for him.

Sources confirmed Mr Ogunbiyi has started visiting those that matters in the affairs of party in the state and committing needed fund that would transform his ambition, of governing Osun state, a reality.

“The man is really working hard… His priority now is how he will take over the party structure…. That will surely put him in a vantage position to clinch the party ticket when the time comes. And I can confirm to you he is spending heavily on the party”, an insider who is privy to move stated.

The next governorship election in Osun state will hold in 2022.
