National Housing Initiative: PHDL Talks Strategic Partnership With EFCC

In furtherance of the Chief of Army Staff’s vision to enhance the welfare of Nigerian Army personnel through sustainable housing initiatives, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Post-Service Housing Development Limited (PHDL), Major General Isaiah Allison, on Tuesday 7 October 2025, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Ola Olukoyede, at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

The visit was aimed at exploring areas of synergy between both organizations, particularly on how existing national assets can be effectively harnessed to advance affordable housing delivery for personnel of the Nigerian Army under the Affordable Home Ownership Option for All Soldiers (AHOOAS) initiative.

Speaking during the visit, Major General Allison commended the EFCC for its vital role in asset recovery and national accountability. He noted that both institutions share a mutual commitment to transparency, integrity, and national development, emphasizing that PHDL remains dedicated to executing the Chief of Army Staff’s vision of motivating personnel through accessible and dignified housing solutions.

In his remarks, Mr Olukoyede welcomed the PHDL delegation and expressed appreciation for the visit. He reaffirmed EFCC’s readiness to collaborate with credible government institutions whose mandates align with national welfare and development goals. He assured that the Commission would continue to ensure that recovered assets are managed responsibly and channeled towards initiatives that benefit the public.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing commitment to strengthening inter-agency cooperation and establishing frameworks that would translate shared objectives into tangible outcomes in the housing sector.
