Reckitt Benckiser, UBA, Multichoice, Nigerian Breweries, Coca-Cola Make List Of Organisations Giving The World Hope Amid COVID-19

With the cloud of uncertainty and fear brought upon the world in the first half of the year 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic, Info Digital Africa (ID Africa) owners of Neusroom, The Netng and 234Star, has unveiled Neusroom 100 to celebrate and spotlight people, nations and businesses taking bold actions in response to the pandemic.

 Since the outbreak and spread of the virus to different parts of the world, businesses, and socio-political activities have been halted and affected due to the lockdown imposed by government across the globe to curb the spread of the deadly virus.

 In the face of this unusual development, Neusroom has highlighted 30 organisations taking actions to help people and the world in the fight against the deadly virus which has infected nearly 9 million people with more than 450,000 mortality, as of Sunday June 21, 2020.

 On the list are Zoom Video Communications, Reckitt Benckiser, MultiChoice, Nigerian Breweries, Coca-Cola, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Google, UBA, Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID), the Johns Hopkins University.

 Others include: MasterCard, Pfizer, UBA, Word Health Organisation and GAVI – the vaccine alliance founded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among many others.

 The John Hopkins University was listed for providing the most updated information on the spread of the virus through its Coronavirus Resource Centre. The University has provided many resources and data that have offered crucial insight into COVID-19 research.

 MultiChoice has also made donations of over N1 billion in cash and relief materials to support Nigeria’s fight against the pandemic.

 Maintaining its position as a leader in the telecommunication industry, MTN Nigeria committed up to N35 billion in both funds and relief materials to help the government and its customers in the country to combat the virus and its effects.
