“A Major Step Forward For Nigeria” – Sanwo-Olu Hails Tinubu On Commissioning Of 1st Phase Of Lagos-Calabar Highway

The governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has described the delivery of the first phase of Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway by the administration of President Bola Tinubu as “a major step forward for Nigeria”.

The commissioning ceremony was held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 with eminent personalities from far and near in attendance.

Sanwo-Olu, who praised President Bola Tinubu on the commissioning of the all important road, made the remarks in a post via his social media handle on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

“This road is a major step forward for Nigeria. It connects communities, opens up jobs, boosts trade, and brings real development to our coastal states”, Mr Governor commented.

He further remarked:
“As Governor and a proud Lagosian, I’m especially honored that this historic journey begins here in our state. We’re ready to make the most of it.
“Congratulations, Mr. President. Thank you for pushing forward with this vision. It’s a big step, and we’re proud to see it take shape.”
