Abdul Samad Rabiu Donates N2bn To Reconstruct Historic Zaria Central Mosque, Tells Things He Holds Dearly

The billionaire founder and chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu has just made a donation of N2 billion towards the reconstruction of historic Zaria Central Mosque.

The respected businessman who has continued to touch lives across the continent of Africa through ASR Africa – his philanthropic initiatives – announced the donation on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the official fundraising ceremony for the rebuilding of the historic worship centre.

Sighted in Zaria, under Zazzau Emirate Council. Kaduna State the 150-year-old Central Mosque collapsed on Friday, August 11, 2023.

The unfortunate incident, according to report, resulted in deaths and injuries for some worshipers.

Announcing the donation Mr Rabiu, who reechoed “Giving back to society, helping and supporting communities and people, intervening in areas that bring positive impact to communities and people and those that are in need” as things that are of deep interest and concern to one said, “In supporting this effort, we are not only preserving something of historical significance but also investing in education and empowerment of people within the Zazzau Emirate and other parts of Nigeria. We are a foundation for a better and brighter future. Therefore on behalf of myself, my family, and my foundation, ASR Africa I would like to make a contribution, towards the reconstruction of this very important and significant project, of two billion naira.”
