Actor Chiwetalu Agu Freed By Nigerian Army

Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu has been freed by the Nigerian Army.

This development came to be 24 hours after his arrest by the military authority.

His arrest took place in the city of Onitsha, Anambra State.

At time of his arrest, Mr Agu was wearing an outfit with the flag of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) inscribed on it.

His sin, according to a statement put out by the Nigerian Army, was inciting members of the public and soliciting for support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

News of Mr Agu’s release was broken on social media by some of his fellow practitioners in the movie in industry on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Chizzy Alichi wrote “Uncle Chiwetalu Agu has been released. He is safe and sound. All thanks to God and anyone who contributed one way or the other.”
