Agege Council Boss, Egunjobi To Rebuild Police Stations Destroyed By Hoodlums During #EndSARS Violence

Details available to societynow.ng revealed that Council chairman Ganiyu Egunjobi has initiated steps to rebuild the police stations in his domain, Agege – Lagos state that were burnt by hoodlums.

The police facilities were some of those torched by hoodlums under the guise of protesting the shooting of EndSars protesters at Lekki toll-gate, Lagos State.

Societynow.ng gathered Egunjobi ordered an assessment of the affected police station and given the go-ahead for the immediate renovation of the facilities as a prelude to rebuilding them.

“The renovation is meant to serve as a quick fix measure, for the policemen to have a place to work from before the permanent solution of rebuilding is done” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that work starts at the affected police stations in Isokoko – on old Abeokuta road – and Pen Cinema this week.

Societynow,ng gathered that because of the level of damage at Pen Cinema Police station, the council chairman has concluded the relocation of the policemen to a property owned by the council at Ijaiye road.

The information at hand revealed that the policemen at Pen Cinema police station will be operating from premises that formerly housed “Me & You Hotel” on Ijaiye road pending the completion of the renovation work ordered by Egunjobi.

Insiders disclosed that Egunjobi took the step to keep faith with the policemen who refused to abandon their vandalized police stations and the people of the council area, especially in this yuletide period that security is vital.
