The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, has passed on.

Born on October 15, 1938, the referred first class monarch breathed his last in late hours of Friday, April 22, 2022.

His death came to be at age 83.

Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, is reported to be the place of death of the foremost traditional ruler who ascended the throne of his forefathers on 18 November 1970.
