All Set For The 4th Industrial Revolution Of Artificial Intelligence

There has been a lot of dialogue since the advent of Artificial intelligence (AI) in 1900 on its impact and ability to replace human efforts.

With its recent popularisation due to the famous “ChatGPT”, the conversation in the tech space has been nonstop.

According to an article by Harvard Business Review, Al is expected and designed to augment human Intelligence and not replace it.

The MTN Foundation through its annual Skill-up training initiative for MTN scholars recently introduced AI into its curriculum. This year, the AI training session was led by AI for business advocate and the founder of EUDORATECH, Tunde Success Osideko and the theme was, ‘Al: Redefining the future of work’

The training highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence and the different opportunities and possibilities of artificial intelligence in the fourth industrial revolution.

Speaking on the importance of AI to every business, Tunde said, “The way to win as a business is to see yourself as a technology company providing a product or service. This helps you belong to the group of people who make things happen instead of those who have to play catch-up.”

The Skill-up workshop is part of MTN Foundation’s annual scholarship initiative that recognizes and rewards high attaining students in Nigerian tertiary institutions. These scholarships are targeted at three categories of students – undergraduates in science and technology-related courses, blind students in any field of study and the top 10 candidates of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Nigeria.
