All You Should Know As The Wife Season 2 Premieres

The Wife is back! Zandile The Resolute is back on screen!! And with fire!!!

The Second Season of Showmax Original Telenovela, The Wife premieres today, Thursday 17th, February after a week break from the first season. The series inspired by Dudu Busani-Dube’s bestselling books, The Hlomu series, continues the story of Zandile and the love of her life, Nkosana in its second instalment.

Zandile already served 10 years in jail for the murder of her mother when the love of her life, Nkosana, finally broke her out of jail at the end of Season 1. Adjusting to life outside jail is a big challenge for her, but not as big a challenge as winning back her children’s love, rebuilding her marriage, and establishing herself as the matriarch of the crime syndicate family.

However, she would have to fight for the position now that another woman – Hlomu from Season 1 – had been calling the shots in her absence.

The season’s trailer gives the viewers a glimpse of Khanyi Mbau as Zandile, Mondli Makhoba as Nkosana, International Emmy nominee Lerato Mvelase (the Oscar-shortlisted Life); Abdul Khoza and Zikhona Sodlaka as Nqoba and Mandisa; Kwenzo Ngcobo as Qhawe; and Sipho Ndlovu as Sambulo.

Produced by the Stained Glass, Season Two is expected to bring in rave reviews and trends on Twitter like its predecessor did.
