BUA Chair Abdul Samad Rabiu Hosts UAE Consul General In Lagos To Discuss Investment, Collaboration

The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu (CFR), has hosted the Consul General of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Lagos, Salem Aljaberi, to discuss strategic investments and deepen economic cooperation between Nigeria and the UAE.

The high-level meeting focused heavily on unlocking fresh avenues for partnerships, trade, and sustainable investment across key sectors of the economy.

Speaking after the session, Rabiu expressed optimism about the future of Nigeria-UAE relations and commended the envoy’s dedication to fostering bilateral ties.

“It was a great honour to receive His Excellency Salem Aljaberi at my office today,” Rabiu stated. “We had a highly productive exchange of views on the immense opportunities ahead. I look forward to seeing the relationship between Nigeria and the UAE grow even stronger to deliver meaningful value for both nations.”

The BUA Chairman also thanked the Consul General for his visit and his ongoing commitment to building economic and cultural bridges between the two countries.

This strategic engagement comes at a time when BUA Group is aggressively expanding its footprint across Africa’s productive sectors. Founded by Rabiu, the multibillion-dollar conglomerate holds market-leading positions in cement, food processing, manufacturing, agriculture, and infrastructure development.

The group’s publicly traded subsidiaries—BUA Cement and BUA Foods—frequently post record-breaking revenues and profits, making a substantial impact on Nigeria’s industrial output and tax revenues.

For the respected African business leader, the dialogue extends far beyond corporate interests, representing a vital step toward attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) that will stimulate jobs and economic growth for citizens of both countries.
