The Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has described the death of Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari as shocking and unsettling.

Mr Obaseki said this a statement few hours after the presidency announced the demise of the powerful government official.

The Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has mourned the death of Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

In a statement, Obaseki said the news of the death of Abba Kyari was shocking and unsettling, noting that he would be sorely missed.

According to him, “I received the news of the death of Mallam Abba Kyari with a heavy heart. We have indeed lost a rare gem. As Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari commanded great influence that made him a rallying point for key policy decisions.

“He would be missed greatly.”
