Customs Committed To Collaboration With ICPC, Comptroller Edelduok Says During Visit To Agency’s Lagos Office

The Customs Area Controller of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command, Comptroller Joy Edelduok, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Customs Service’s (NCS) commitment to integrity and transparency during a courtesy visit to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Lagos Office on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.

Comptroller Edelduok was warmly received by the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Alexander Chukwurah. She emphasised the importance of collaboration with the ICPC in promoting discipline and ethical conduct among officers.

“Integrity remains a core value of the Nigeria Customs Service under the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi. The Command is committed to working closely with the ICPC to strengthen anti-corruption mechanisms within the Command,” she stated.

The ICPC welcomed the initiative, with the Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner assuring continued support for promoting integrity in public service.

In a related development, Comptroller Edelduok also received the Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Agboje Jude, who paid a courtesy visit to strengthen inter-agency collaboration between both organisations.

Welcoming the delegation, Comptroller Edelduok expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as “a reflection of mutual respect and shared commitment to national security, discipline, and integrity in public service.”

She reiterated her Command’s alignment with the CGC’s vision of enhanced cooperation, professionalism, and transparency across all Customs operations.

In his response, ACG Jude commended Comptroller Edelduok’s leadership and the high level of discipline exhibited by officers of the Command. He assured that the NCoS would continue to work closely with the NCS in pursuit of shared national objectives.
