Customs MMlA Command Sets New Standard With N71bn Revenue In 2024

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Command has set a new standard for operational excellence, generating a record-breaking revenue of N71,633,687,108.84 in 2024.

This surpasses the command’s 2024 revenue target by 20%, making it the highest revenue collection in its history.

According to a press release by the command’s public relations officer, DSC Usman Abdul, the Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Effiong Harrison, expressed delight over the command’s achievement. “The success of this command is a result of the dedication, commitment and adherence to high operational standards by officers and men of the command”, Comptroller Harrison stated.

Harrison explained that the command’s revenue generation witnessed a significant boost in July 2024, with its highest-ever monthly revenue of N12,084,020,992.46.

“Compared to the previous year, the command’s revenue increased by N41,130,179,709.75, reflecting a 135% growth”. The CAC explained.

The CAC commended his officers and men for their relentless efforts and urged them to maintain high standards to generate more revenue in 2025.

He appreciated critical stakeholders and other government agencies, acknowledging them as invaluable partners in the command’s success in 2024.

The Area Controller expressed optimism that the command will achieve greater milestones in fulfilling its core mandates in 2025.
