Billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote has hailed Zenith Bank for expanding its presence to Paris, France.

The leading financial institution with Jim Ovia as founder and chairman unveiled the Paris branch on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

The opening ceremony was attended by the likes of Wale Edun, Nigeria’s Minister for Finance; BUA Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu; Aigboje Aig Imhoukuede; Mr. Jim Ovia and top officials of Zenith Bank.

Speaking on behalf of of major contributors to the Nigerian economy, the Africa’s richest man whose ambitious refinery project with 650,000 barrel par day capacity recently commenced operation said “This bank that you have opened here is not only for you but for all of us as Nigerians.”

“So I want to congratulate you for making all of us proud. I say thank you very much, and God bless.” the chairman of Dangote Group, directing his brief remarks to Jim Ovia, the board of directors and management of the top financial brand, added.

The serial investor who used the moment to appreciate the nation’s banking sector said, “without the likes of Zenith Bank and other Nigerian banks, as a group, there is no way we can dream of being what we are today. So I want to thank you for giving us all the support.”
