Delta Gov Ifeanyi Okowa Mourns COAS Attahiru’s Passage

The Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa and his wife Edith Okowa have joined other prominent Nigerians to mourn the passage of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru.

In a brief statement today May 22, 2021 via his Facebook page, Governor Okowa said he and his wife were “extremely sad to learn about the passing of the recently appointed Chief of Army Staff”.

General Attahiru alongside nine other military personnel lost their lives a plane crash at Kaduna International Airport.

“Edith and I are extremely sad to learn about the passing of the recently appointed Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru. We pray that Almighty God grants his family, friends, and the entire Armed Forces the strength that is needed at this difficult time”, Governor Okowa wrote.
