Dep Gov Ajayi Bashes Akeredolu For Excluding Lawmakers Who Refuse To Sign His Impeachment Notice In SUVs Gifts To Assembly Members

Agboola Ajayi, the deputy governor of Ondo State has taken on Rotimi Akeredolu on one of the moves his administration just made.

Akeredolu is the governor of Ondo state and the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming gubernatorial election.

The governorship election holds on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

Gov Akeredolu had On Friday, September 4, 2020 presented brand new 2020 Edition of KIA Sportage Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) – for official use – to lawmakers in the state.

But nine lawmakers who refused to sign the impeachment notice of deputy governor impeachment not were reportedly excluded from the gesture.

Reacting to the development, Agboola Ajayi who spoke through his media aide, Allen Sowore, described his estranged boss’ action as strange and “lowest political strategy”.

The deputy governor who the candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the coming gubernatorial election said, “Presenting official vehicles to only members of the House who are loyal to the governor and leaving out nine who refused to sign impeachment process of the deputy governor is the lowest political strategy.”
