Dep Gov Ewhrudjakpo’s Burial Holds January 30, Gov Diri Announces

The Bayelsa State Government has announced Friday, 30th January this year as date for the burial of late Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Ph.D.

Announcing the burial activities during the 179th State Executive Council meeting, Governor Douye Diri, said the date had been jointly approved by the family, the state government and the Catholic Church.

Accordingly, the 4-days burial programme will commence on Tuesday January 27th with sporting activities and run through the 28th, 29th and the last day being 30th January with the funeral service and interment in Ofoni, Sagbama Local Government Area of the state.

Gov Diri appreciated Bayelsans for standing by his government during tough times and invited everyone to participate in the various events lined up for the burial.

The Governor also bagged two awards, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria award for sponsoring their AGM in Bayelsa and Chartered Institute of Taxation award for Exceptional Leadership

The awards were presented to him by the Commissioner for Trade and Investment. Hon. Ebieri Jones, who represented the Governor at the two events.
