DStv Announced As Sponsor For MIPAN’s Annual Patrons’ Day

DStv Nigeria has been announced as sponsor for the 2021 edition of MIPAN’s Annual Patrons’ Day. The Patrons’ Day, which takes place on Tuesday, October 19, 2020, is a day set aside by the Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN) to celebrate and treat its staff, management, stakeholders, friends, and family to a funfair.

The MIPAN Patron’s Day is a social gathering for the players in the media-buying sub-sector of the marketing communications industry, to meet, play games, have fun, celebrate achievements over the year and network. This would be the sixth time that DStv via its Media Sales arm will be sponsoring the event.

The 2021 edition of the event promises an exciting indoor game experience with lots of prizes up for grabs courtesy of DStv. It would see media agencies go head-to-head in Jenga, Darts, Pool, Chess and so much more.

Speaking on the partnership, Kholeka Maringa, Head of Africa at DSTV Media Sales said, “We extol the virtues of fair competition and innovative excellence that the MIPAN Patrons’ Day promotes and are proud to be perennial partners.”

The event which is in its 6th instalment this year kicks off at noon on Tuesday, October 19 at The Sheba Event Center, No. 20, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja; and is open to all players in the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) industry, including media vendors and brand owners.

The DSTV Media Sales team is the ad sales arm of the leading entertainment group – MultiChoice Nigeria, owners and operators of DStv and GOtv. While MIPAN is an acronym for Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria. It is an association of registered media independents operating in Nigeria. MIPAN was invented to develop and improve media advertising functions in Nigeria.

MIPAN Patrons’ Day is organized by MIPAN member agencies, aimed at bringing all stakeholders, management & staff together under a fun, relaxed and sporting atmosphere. It is also an avenue to network and to celebrate the forerunners of the profession (Patrons) who are either retired or are partially retired.
