Nigerian-American and current UFC Welterweight champion is scheduled to face rival Jorge Masvidal in a welterweight title fight in Abu Dhabi this Sunday, July 12, on SuperSport 11, DStv channel 231.
Jorge Masdival is currently number three in the UFC Welterweight ranking replaced headliner challenger, Gilbert Burns, who forfeited his slot after testing positive for Coronavirus. The American challenger is a seven-year UFC veteran and the record holder for the fastest KO in UFC history(five seconds).
Kamaru Usman became the number one UFC welterweight after an outstanding match against Tyron Woodley and has flawlessly defended his number one title ever since.
Fans are even more excited to watch the scheduled match because of the history of animosity between both mixed martial artists – they were seen engaging in an intense argument at a public event earlier in the year.
