Enugu Visit: Tinubu Affirms Commitment To Completing Eastern Rail Line Project
President Bola Tinubu has affirmed his government’s commitment to completing the Eastern rail line project, connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri which further confirms his stand that no region will be left out in his administration’s Renew Hope Agenda.
Mr President disclosed this after his yesterday, January 4, 2025 official visit to Enugu State where he inaugurated commendable projects initiated and executed by the administration of Governor Peter Mbah.
The visit was his first official engagement of year and saw him recieving a rousing welcome from the people and Government of Enugu State.
“My administration is committed to completing the Eastern rail line, connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri”, Tinubu promised.
Also as part of efforts to further boost the economic activities of the south east region and the country at large, he assured of support for the development of the Anambra Basin, which is considered rich in oil and gas resources.
Hailing the leadership style of his host which has translated to improved infrastructure, security, access to education and healthcare, the President said “I commend Governor Mbah for his remarkable leadership in the state.”
Pointing out importance of oneness and unity to the development of the nation, Mr President said: “When we work together, we can build a prosperous future for our nation. We are members of one family held by a single umbilical cord; hence, we must work together to develop the Nigeria we desire”.
