A medical doctor, who doubles as a visual artist, he has been recognized by international platforms including the BBC. He was at the MTN Pulse exclusive unveil held on Friday, November 27, 2020.
As part of MTN Nigeria’s new campaign, geared towards inspiring self-awareness and authenticity among youths, Fola David shared his story of growth, resilience, and determination to see his dreams come alive.
Speaking at the virtual event, he commended MTN Nigeria for their efforts in constantly lending a voice for the youths and urging them to become their authentic selves.
According to Fola, the #DoYou campaign resonates with him and is at the very core of his brand.
“When I heard about MTN’s #DoYou campaign, I got excited because it was a message that resonated at the core of my beliefs. Seven years ago, I was being pressured to decide whether to become a medical doctor or an artist. I decided to follow both passions to become the best doctor and the best artist there was.
Fast forward to today, I have been recognized by the Nigerian Medical Association as the Young Physician of the Year, 2020, nominated for the Future Awards Africa Prize for Arts and Culture, among other recognitions. This all happened because I decided to do me. I believe that anyone can be loud, low-key, or both. I chose to be both.”
