Former Defence Minister Obada Wants To Be Senator

Erelu Olusola Obada, a former Minister of State for Defence, has again shown interest in elective position, information pieced together by highstreet.ng just indicated.

And those in the know have revealed the upper chamber of the National Assembly to be her destination of interest this time around.

Obada, a former deputy governor of Osun State – from 2003 to 2010-, is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The 69 years old, who served in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan between 2011 and 2012, aspired to be governor in the buildup to the 2003 gubernatorial election in the state.

But eventually dropped her ambition when she was offered to run as former governor Oyinlola’s running mate, our checks revealed.

Sources maintained “she has intimated those that matter in the scheme of things in PDP she wants to represent people of Osun East Senatorial District in the Senate come 2023.”

While subtle plan that will ultimately transform her ambition into reality is being worked out.
