Former IGP Solomon Arase Dies At 69

Former Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase,  is dead.

He reportedly passed on in a health facility in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, today August 31, 2025.

Available information revealed Mr Arase, a former chairman of the Nigeria Police Service Commission who also served as the 18th Inspector-General of Nigerian Police (IGP) between April 2015 and June 2016, he gave up the ghost after a months-long battle with an undisclosed ailment.

He was aged 69.
