Glo Boosts Learning At Kwara university With Free Resource Downloads, CUG Lines

In a bold move to enhance digital learning and campus connectivity, telecommunications giant, Globacom, has launched Gloshare and a dedicated Mobile Community Plan for students of Kwara State University (KWASU), Ilorin. The innovative solutions are designed to provide students with free access to academic resources and foster seamless communication across the university community.

Speaking at the launch event held at the KWASU campus in Malete, Kwara State, the Enterprise South West Regional Head, Globacom, Mr. Adewale Adiatu, introduced Gloshare as a digital platform that enables students to access the school portal and download educational materials with no data usage required.

“We also have the Closed User Group (CUG) lines, which make it possible for everyone within the KWASU community to connect on the same platform. Students and staff can interact freely using their CUG lines,” Mr Adiatu stated.

Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, Enterprise National Vertical Head, Glo Enterprise Sales , also revealed that multiple network sites have already been installed on campus, with additional sites nearly completed—all aimed at ensuring seamless performance of both Gloshare and the CUG services.

The Vice Chancellor of KWASU, Prof. Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, hailed the launch as a historic and futuristic moment, emphasizing the transformative impact of Gloshare and Mobile Community plan on communication, connectivity, and collaboration among students.

In his remarks, Mallam Abdulafeez Babatunde Kewulere, President of the KWASU Student Union Government, expressed gratitude to Globacom for choosing KWASU as the first beneficiary of the Gloshare service.

“This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to empowering students with cutting-edge digital solutions,” he stated, while urging students to actively explore the new offerings.

“By leveraging these tools, you’ll not only enhance your academic experience but also stay ahead in an increasingly digital world,” he added.
