Glo-Sponsored African Voices Changemakers Hosts Hollywood Actor, Djimon Hounsou 

Renowned Hollywood actor, Djimon Hounsou will this week be guest on African Voices Changemakers, a magazine programme on Cable News Network (CNN), proudly sponsored by telecommunications giant, Globacom.

In an inspiring 30-minute conversation, Hounsou will share his remarkable journey with anchor Larry Madowo, highlighting his passion for connecting the Black diaspora with its roots through the Djimon Hounsou Foundation.

 With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Hounsou has earned numerous accolades for his outstanding performances in films such as Amistad (1997), Gladiator (2000), and Blood Diamond (2006). His impressive awards collection includes a Golden Globe Award, NAACP Image Award, and an Academy Award nomination. 

Beyond his acting career, Hounsou is committed to philanthropy, using initiatives like Run Richmond 16.19 to bridge history, culture, and community, uniting the African diaspora and honoring African heritage. 

An interesting time awaits viewers of the programme which comes up on CNN channel 401 on Saturday at 8.30a.m and will be repeated same day at noon. Further repeats will be broadcast at 4.30a.m. and 7p.m. on Sunday and on Monday by 4a.m. Repeat editions will come up in the same broadcast schedule next week from Saturday.
