Gov Aiyedatiwa Mourns Veteran Broadcaster, Sanya Oyinsan’s Wife

Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed heartfelt condolences over the passing of Chief (Mrs.) Florence Olufunke Oyinsan, wife of veteran broadcaster and elder statesman, Chief Sanya Oyinsan, describing her as a shining example of faith, hope and resilience whose life was a testament to the power of devotion, compassion and service to humanity.

In a condolence message to the family, the Governor said he received the news of her passing with profound sadness, yet he remains inspired by her remarkable life and legacy.

He noted that her passing marks the end of an extraordinary chapter in the life of a woman who stood as a rock of support to her husband throughout his illustrious journey of service to Ondo State and Nigeria.

Governor Aiyedatiwa described Chief Sanya Oyinsan, 81, as a paragon of integrity, professionalism and excellence in Nigeria’s media history, adding that his pioneering role in the development of broadcasting in Nigeria and his enduring impact on public communication continue to inspire generations.

He said, “Losing a lifelong companion at this stage of life is a deeply painful experience, yet I trust that the grace of God will continue to comfort him and grant him strength in the cherished memories they both built over the years.”

The Governor prayed for the repose of the soul of Chief (Mrs.) Oyinsan and for divine fortitude for Chief Oyinsan and the entire family to bear the loss.
