The governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has just disclosed he tested negative for Coronavirus.

He made the disclosure about his status in a Facebook post today, Thursday, March 26, 2020.

The governor stated he got the good news via a text message from the commissioner for health in the state, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro.

His Facebook post reads…

“Having received news that one of the persons at a meeting I attended tested positive of Coronavirus, I willingly volunteered to get tested for #Covid19 on tuesday in spite of the fact that many others at the said meeting tested negative to make assurance doubly sure.

“Good morning sir. The result is negative. Congratulations your Excellency”

I just received the above text from the Commissioner for Health regarding my #Covid19 test results. We give all glory to God. Wish everyone affected speedy recovery. Our fight to protect the lives of our citizens continues. Huge thanks to all front line key workers fighting to protect our people.”
