Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi has finally dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He reportedly performed the deed in Apoi Ward 2, Ese Odo Local Government Area of the state today June 21, 2020.

Mr Ajayi was said to have proceeded to the Peoples Democratic Party secretariat in the ward where he eventually announced his defection and picked membership card of his new political party afterward.

This development is coming hours after his encounter with the police at Alagbaka Government House, Akure, Ondo State capital where one of his vehicles was prevented from going out.

The police action was allegedly at the instance of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
