Gov Bago Hails Justice Kutigi’s Elevation

Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has described Justice Mohammed Baba Idris Kutigi as a humble, hardworking, honest and dedicated personality.

The Farmer Governor who was accompanied by his wife, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, described the Justice during a dinner organized in his honour of Justice Baba Idris Kutigi at his family residence in Asokoro, Abuja, after his swearing-in as the Justice of the Supreme Court.

He congratulated Justice Baba Idris Kutigi and acknowledged that he has in no small measure made the State proud.

The Farmer Governor also described it as historic to have the son of a former Chief Justice of Nigeria rising to become a Justice of the Supreme Court.

He said the Family of late Justice Idris Lebgo Kutigi has indeed written its name in history books as a family of Legal Luminary.

Farmer Governor Umaru Bago said the elevation is the beginning of better things that would come the way of Justice Baba Idirs Kutigi.

He assured him of the State Government continued support in any way possible to ensure his success in his service to humanity at the Supreme Court.

Also in his remarks, the Former Governor of Niger State, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, recommended the Judiciary for all its contributions to keep the nation as one entity for decades and hope that it continues.

He noted that the Family of Legbo Kutigi is a distinguished one that values both Western and Islamic education and the results are glaring for all to see.

While congratulating Justice Baba Idris Kutigi, the former Governor prayed for his success.

Some eminent Nigerians and stakeholders in Niger State present at the social gathering also took turns to shower encomiums on the newly sworn-in Justice of the Supreme Court.

Sani Idris Kutigi, the brother to Justice Baba Idris Kutigi on behalf of the Family, appreciated Farmer Governor Umaru Bago for his continued support to the family.

He also applauded all those who graced the occasion and assured the celebrant would serve humanity with integrity for the betterment of all.

Recall that Justice Mohammed Baba Idris Kutigi, a Nigerlite, was among the 11 Supreme Court Justices that were sworn in recently.
