Gov Bago Reaffirms Commitment To Transformational Partnership With Turkish Govt
Niger State governor, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to sustain its partnership with Türkiye for the continued growth and development of the state.
The farmer governor stated this when he received the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria.
Amb. Mehmet Poroy, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Niger State Liaison Office in Abuja.
Farmer Bago revealed that the state government is into several partnerships with Turkish investors who have proven themselves worthy.
He appreciated the Ambassador for the visit and reassured him of more collaborations to continue to tap into technological advancement and other areas of specialisation.
The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Mehmet Poroy, said his visit to the farmer governor was to consolidate the already existing relationship between the two parties and reassured him that Türkiye will continue to align with his vision for Niger State.
Amb. Poroy, who described Niger State as a good destination for investment where there is guaranteed protection of interests, said he will continue to persuade more Turkish companies to come and invest in the state.
He also informed the governor of the Turkish government’s readiness to increase trade with Nigeria by investing in multi-million dollar ventures, considering the huge potential in the country.
Those present during the visit include Secretary to the State government Abubakar Usman, Commissioner for Industries, Trade and Investment, Aminu Suleman Takuma and Chairman, Niger Foods Security Systems and Logistics, Sammy Adigun.
