Gov Diri Attends Asu Ekiye Gospel Music Concert, Assures Of Govt Support

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State  on Sunday attended the gospel music concert of Bayelsa-born Asu Ekiye at Pees Hub Event Place, Okutukutu, Yenagoa.

Governor Diri also launched the new album titled “Ebikamo Experience” and appreciated the singer for exporting Ijaw language through his different songs.

“You are the true ambassador of Ijaw nation by using our language in your songs, that’s the way to promote the culture and preserve our language, thank you and thank you too for bringing this concert to your people”, Gov. Diri stated.

“Asu, I have watched you on television but I have not watched you live performing. Today is the first day I’m watching you live and your energy is awesome. May God bless you more.Our government of ASSURED Prosperity will continue to support and promote you”, Governor Diri said.

In attendance were the Chief Judge of the State, Hon. Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, Hon. Ayibanegiyefa Egba, member representing Yenagoa Constituency one in the state House of Assembly, Dr. Peter Akpe, Chief of Staff, Government House, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Hon. Waripamowei Dudafa, former senior special assistant to former president on Domestic matters, Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah, General Manager of the state Housing and Property Development Authority, members of the state executive council, Brigadier General Eric Angaye (Rtd), Security Coordinator and Coordinator of the state Community Safety Corp, and other top government functionaries.
