Gov Diri Bids Bayelsa Pioneer PDP Chairman, Charles Dorgu Farewell

His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, yesterday at Agbere community in Sagbama Local Government Area, joined families and friends to bid farewell to the pioneer chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, Engr. Charles Dorgu.

Governor Diri, while condoling with the Agbere community and the family, said Charles Dorgu had added value to the party, Bayelsa and, indeed, Nigeria.

“Engr. Charles Dorgu came, he saw, and he conquered. So, on behalf of your government, the government of prosperity and the people of Bayelsa State, we send our heartfelt condolences once again to the Dorgu family, the children and the Agbere community. I’m here to join you traditionally in biding our father, brother who has added value to our party, added value to Bayelsa State and indeed, Nigeria, farewell,” the Governor said.

He died at the age of 80 years.
