Gov Eno Condoles With Lands Commissioner Over Mother’s Passing
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has condoled with the Commissioner for Lands and Town Planning, Captain Iniobong Ekong (rtd) and his family over the demise of their mother, Deaconess Edoabasi Edward Ekong whose remains were laid to rest today at his home town, Ikot Akpamfuk, Nsit Ubium local Government Area.
In his message of condolence at the funeral, Governor Eno described the deceased as a devout Christian, a moral anchor and a virtuous woman.
He noted that though gone to be with the Lord, she had lived a fulfilled life, and her set principles firmly implanted in her son and members of the family, as reflected in the life of his son, Hon. Ekong.
The Governor said his presence at the funeral was a demonstration of love, support and solidarity to the family, and assured of continuous support to the family, while praying for God to grant the diseased rest in His bosom.
In his appreciation, Captain Ekong expressed gratitude to God for the blessing of long life, good health and prosperity in his family, and appreciated Governor Umo Eno and his team for their unwavering support and demonstration of love in their period of grief.
