The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has made known his decision to quit the ruling party, All Progressives Congress.

Mr Obaseki announced the decision today June 15, 2020 after a brief meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential Villa, Abuja.

He revealed he would pursue his ambition for another term in office on a soon to be announced political platform.

Governor Obaseki who was disqualified from taking part in APC primary election scheduled for June 22, 2020 has been at loggerheads with his predecessor in office and national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole.

His running battle with Mr Oshiomhole largely responsible for his disqualification, highstreet.ng understands.
