Gov Mutfwang Extends Condolences To Pauline Tallen, Mele Kyari Over Passing Of Their Children

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has extended his condolences to former Deputy Governor and ex-Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, on the loss of her son, Mr. Richard Adamu Tallen, who passed away after a brief illness.

During a condolence visit to Dame Tallen’s residence in Abuja, Governor Mutfwang acknowledged the profound sorrow the family is enduring, describing it as one of the most challenging moments they have faced. He noted that Richard, a young man seen as the family’s hope and a future cornerstone, was expected to grow in wisdom and eventually carry forward the family’s legacy.

The Governor stated that while it is every parent’s wish for their children to outlive them, fate had charted a different course. He emphasized that God’s will often transcends human understanding, and in this instance, it did not align with the family’s aspirations.

Governor Mutfwang offered prayers for divine strength and comfort for the family, especially for Richard’s wife and children, whose grief, he said, is beyond measure.

He described Richard’s passing at such a promising age as a profound tragedy that has left a void only God’s grace can fill. The Governor urged Dame Tallen and Richard’s wife to find solace in Christ, affirming that Richard lived a life marked by selflessness.

On behalf of his family, the government, and the people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Dame Pauline Tallen, Richard’s wife, children, siblings, and the entire family. He prayed for the Almighty to grant them the comfort and peace needed to navigate this painful period.

Responding on behalf of the bereaved family, the Acting Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Dr. Chris Maiyaki, expressed gratitude for the Governor’s visit, and said it was a source of consolation.

He prayed for God’s blessings upon Governor Mutfwang and wished him good health and wisdom to continue leading for the unity and prosperity of the nation.

In a similar gesture, Governor Mutfwang also extended his heartfelt condolences to the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mr. Mele Kyari, on the passing of his daughter, Fatima Kyari.

The Governor prayed for God’s strength and comfort for the family as they endure the irreplaceable loss.
