Gov Obaseki, Deputy Gov Shaibu Pay “Thank You” Visit To Ex-VP Atiku Abubakar

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shaibu have visited the former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

It was a thank you visit, highstreet.ng understands.

The former number two number received the duo in his Federal Capital Territory, Abuja residence.

According to information pieced together, he received them yesterday, October 5, 2020.

“Yesterday, at my residence in Abuja, I played host to Governor Obaseki and Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, who were recently re-elected for a second term in Edo State”, the former Vice President posted on his Facebook page.

Their visit to the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is coming weeks after the Edo State governorship election.

Incumbent governor Obaseki had trounced Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who had the support of former governor of Edo State and immediate past nation chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole at the gubernatorial contest.

The election held on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
