The Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola is currently operating from his Iragbiji country home, The Gazelle News.com can exclusively reports.

Investigation by this medium revealed that Osun State for about a week was not affected by the Coronavirus pandemic but the government through its health ministry had put in place measures to detect and contain spread of the virus when it was eventually discovered.

Thus, it was on Sunday, wren one of the workers working in the Government House fell ill.

The Gazelle News.com learnt that it was the state Health Commissioner, Dr Rafiu Isamotu who noticed the ill staff allegedly working as a protocol officer in the Government House. On close examination and enquiries, it was discovered that the staff was displaying symptoms of the dreaded virus.

Further enquiries revealed that the said staff just returned from Lagos on a visit to his brother who just returned from Germany.

Pronto, Dr Isamotu insisted that the staff must go for Coronavirus test and suffice to add that the test proved positive. That was the index case of coronavirus in Osun State.

The Governor ordered that the Government House be evacuated for comprehensive fumigation. He also ordered that those who have close contact with the said staff should go into self isolation. One such, The Gazelle News.com learnt, was the police orderly to the Governor.

Thus, Governor Oyetola and his family relocated to his Iragbiji country home on Monday, 30 March, 2020 and has been operating from there since.
