The post reads…

Relying on the powers conferred on me by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended) and other relevant provisions of the State of Osun Public Health Law, I today signed the Diseases (Emergency Prevention) Regulations 2020, to enforce our lockdown order.

The stay-at-home order is to enable us contain the further spread of COVID-19 in our State. With the signing of this law, anybody who violates the sit-at-home order will upon conviction, be sentenced to six-month imprisonment or an option of fine upon conviction.

I want to assure our people that the State government in conjunction with all concerned authorities is working hard to bring this deadly virus under control. I, therefore, solicit your support and cooperation with the government as we continue to battle this disease.
