Gov Oyetola Reveals What He’s Doing To Win Reelection Ticket

The Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has reaffirmed that he is in pole position to pick the gubernatorial ticket of the ruling All Progressives Party (APC).

The governorship primary of the ruling party holds February 19, 2022.

The reelection seeking governor who is battling a serious opposition from his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, maintained the position after appearing before the Screening Committee of the APC at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Former Governor Aregbesola who is reportedly backing Moshood Adeoti – the Secretary to the State Government during his eight years reign – has continued to maintain his successor will be limited to a single term.

But Mr Oyetola, who stormed the party’s National Secretariat in company of party leaders, supporters and loyalists, including cabinet members, insisted performance of his administration in the last three years, put him ahead of other aspirants.

“Recently, I began a strategic consultation with the party members to seek their support ahead of the primary election. And the reception has been very encouraging. So far, we have visited 18 councils.

“I don’t want to talk about individuals. But I believe that I remain the aspirant to beat,” Oyetola added.
