Gov Sanwo-Olu Signs VAT Bill Into Law

The governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has signed into law the State VAT Bill.

The Value Added Tax (VAT) Bill was passed by the Mudashiru Obasa led Lagos State House of Assembly yesterday, September 9, 2021.

In a brief statement today, Gbenga Omotoso, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the state, said ‘the Governor signed the “bill for a law to impose and charge VAT on certain goods and services” at about 11. 45am today , after returning from an official trip to Abuja’.

“By this act, the Bill has now become a Law”, Mr Omotoso added.
