The governor of rivers State Nyesom Wike has reached out to the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi over the death of his brother, Charles Dede Amaechi.

Amaechi preceded Nyesom Wike in office as governor of the oil reach south south state.

The duo are arch enemies politically.

In a statement signed by Paulinus Nsirim, the Commissioner for Information and Communications in Rivers State, Mr Wike who prayed for his predecessor described the deceased’s passage as a great loss.

Governor Wike’s statement reads…

“Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has commisserated with the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi over the death of his elder brother, Charles(Dede) Amaechi.

In a statement issued in Port Harcourt today, Governor Wike described the demise of the deceased as a great loss not only to the family but the entire State.

He prayed God to grant the Minister and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”
