Gripping Yoruba Fantasy Series “Between Worlds” Now Streaming

Showmax’s latest Nigerian Original, Between Worlds, is now streaming exclusively on the platform.

This gripping Yoruba fantasy series invites viewers into a world where the past and present intertwine in an adventure driven by power, mystery, and fate.

The 10-part series follows the story of Lamide, who transitions from the world he knows into a different one and finds himself in the town of Ilu Arin, caught in the midst of the battle for power and the emergence of long-hidden truths.

The first episode sees Lamide as a young boy witnessing his mother lose everything she has to fraud, which leads to her falling sick. Lamide has to struggle through childhood and eventually makes something of himself through fraudulent ways. But supernatural forces are about to collect what they feel is theirs.

After the cliffhanger ending of episode 1, subsequent episodes continue the story of Lamide’s transition into the other world and how he becomes a slave in the past.

Created and executive produced by Emmanuel Uduma (MTV ShugaSchool Run) and directed by Edward Uka, Tyrone Terrence, and Sola Roberts, Between Worlds boasts an impressive lineup of talented actors, including Femi Branch, Ropo Ewenla, Ifu Ennada, Olujide Sunday, Emmanuel Degiri, Laolu Loto, Taiwo Ola, and Oreofe Oguntola.

New episodes drop every Thursday, exclusively on Showmax.
