Huge Turnout As Gov Diri, wives, Deputy Attend 2024 Bayelsa State Christmas Carol

Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri today attended the 2024 Bayelsa State Christmas Carol at the Banquet hall, Government House, Yenagoa.

Governor Diri was joined by his wives, Dr. (Mrs) Gloria Diri, Honourable Justice (Mrs.) Patience Ama Diri, and the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrujakpo.

Governor Diri urge Bayelsans to be thankful to God for all He has done.

He equally appreciated the organizers and participants for putting up a wonderful event.

“We are in the season to celebrate the birth of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

Yes, times are difficult. But, let us look back and count the blessings of God. Let us appreciate God’s kindness as a people, state and country.

Let me appreciate all the organizers and performers of tonight’s event. Truly, you all did excellently well”, Gov. Diri said.

Other dignitaries at the event were; Hon. Mitema Obordor, representing Ogbia federal constituency, Hon. Rodney Ambaiowei, representing Southern Ijaw federal constituency, Leader of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Obolo Bubou, other members of the Assembly, Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Honourable Justice Matilda Abrakasa Ayemieye, President Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Daniel Ayah, Secretary to the State government, Prof. Nimibofa Ayawei, Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Biobelemoye Charles-Onyema, Bayelsa State PDP Chairman, Hon. Solomon Agwana, Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen, top government officials and religious leaders.

There were different renditions of Christmas songs by various choirs including those from different arms of government.
