And they have a grave reason to.

Sources disclosed that the men of the Nigeria Customs have started a clamp down on known associates of the popular figure arrested for alleged smuggling of arms and ammunition.
Dende as the chairman of mega money business concern IBD Impex Limited is widely known was arrested in his Ilaro, Ogun state home last week.

Societynow.ng gathered the development that saw him immediately whisked to Abuja was the fallout of discovery of arms and ammunition hidden in vehicles his boys were bringing into the country.

Societynowng.com digs revealed that unknown to many, Dende was not the only person taken into custody at the time of his arrest.

“Some of his associates were targeted at that same time, some were taken while others escaped arrest by chance” a source disclosed.

Insiders disclosed Dende’s arrest was actually planned to be a widespread clamp down on those suspected to be involved in the kind of illicit trade he was arrested for by men of the Nigeria Customs Service.

“The clampdown however appears have gone south as those they missed have alerted others of possible arrest and the targets gone to the mat” a source stated.
