IGP Adamu Announces Disbandment Of SARS

The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has been disbanded.

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu announced the disbandment in a live broadcast on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

The announcement by the police boss came after days of nationwide protests against SARS operatives’ brutality and extra-judicial killings.
