Governor Godwin Obaseki has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in his bid to seek reelection as Governor of Edo State.

He picked membership card of his new party today June 19, 2020, at the Peoples Democratic Party Secretariat Benin, the capital city of Edo State.

“I have officially joined the Official Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Nigeria to advance my ambition to seek re-election as Governor of Edo State.

I, as always, remain committed to engendering good governance and sustainable development of our dear state”, he disclosed via a Facebook post.

Incumbent governor obaseki was disqualified by Jonathan Ayuba-led All Progressives Congress (APC) screening committee for the Edo State governorship primary on Friday.

He will be taking part in PDP governorship primary scheduled for Tuesday June 23, 2020.
