The birthday of the respected philanthropist with heavy investment in Nigerian conglomerates – Heir Holdings, Transnational Corporations (Transcorp), Afriland Properties, and more – was signposted with a well-attended symposium.

Held inside UBA House on Marina, Lagos, and dubbed 60 for 60, the symposium brought together 60 young entrepreneurs who have benefitted from Mr Tony elumelu’s philanthropic strides.

The young entrepreneurs, one after the other, mounted the stage to tell how the man, who is on a mission to stamp out poverty from the continent of Africa, has impacted their lives through the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
